Our Commitment to Your Privacy

Your privacy is fundamental to the trust you place in Ableys India. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and how you can control it. We are fully committed to complying with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and empowering you with control over your information.   

2. The Personal Data We Collect and Our Lawful Basis We only process your personal data when we have a lawful basis to do so under the DPDP Act, primarily with your consent or for a legitimate use. We collect:   

  • Data You Provide With Consent:

    • Account Registration: When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. The purpose is to create and manage your account, and our basis is your consent.

    • Newsletter Subscription: When you subscribe, we collect your email address. The purpose is to send you the newsletter, and our basis is your consent.

    • Community Posts & Content Submissions: We collect your username and the content you provide. The purpose is to publish it and share it with the community, and our basis is your consent.

  • Data We Collect Automatically (Legitimate Use):

    • Technical Data: We may collect your IP address, browser type, and operating system. The purpose is to ensure our website’s functionality, security, and to analyze usage trends to improve our service.

3. Special Provisions for Children’s Data We do not knowingly collect personal data from children (individuals under 18 years of age) without verifiable consent from a parent or legal guardian. We will not undertake any data processing that is likely to have a detrimental effect on the well-being of a child, nor will we engage in tracking their behavior or directing targeted advertisements at them.   

4. How We Use and Share Your Data We use your data to provide and improve our services, communicate with you, and maintain a safe platform. We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with trusted third-party “Data Processors” (e.g., our email newsletter provider) only for the purposes outlined here and under strict data processing agreements that require them to protect your data.   

5. Your Data Rights Under the DPDP Act The DPDP Act grants you specific rights over your personal data. We are committed to making it easy for you to exercise them.

Right to Access You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you and a summary of how it is being processed. Email our Grievance Officer at privacy@resources.ableys.in with the subject “Data Access Request.”
Right to Correction You can ask us to fix any information about you that is incorrect or incomplete. Use the “Edit Profile” feature in your account settings or contact our Grievance Officer.
Right to Erasure You can ask us to delete your personal data when it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected. Email our Grievance Officer with the subject “Data Erasure Request.”
Right to Withdraw Consent You can withdraw your consent for data processing at any time (e.g., by unsubscribing from the newsletter). Use the “unsubscribe” link in emails or adjust your account settings. For other requests, contact our Grievance Officer.
Right to Grievance Redressal You have the right to have your complaints and concerns about your data handled in a timely manner. Contact our Grievance Officer first. If you are not satisfied, you have the right to complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

6. Data Security and Retention We implement reasonable technical and organizational security measures to protect your data. We will only retain your personal data for as long as is necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected or as required by applicable law.
